What is Botox?

BOTOX® Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA) is indicated in adult patients

for the temporary improvement in the appearance to areas such as: moderate to severe

glabellar lines (frown lines), moderate to severe lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet), and

moderate to severe forehead lines

.

What does it do/how does it work?

 

Botox relaxes the muscles by inhibiting signals

from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which

causes the wrinkles to relax and soften.

Any adverse reactions/affects?

 

 Adverse reactions to BOTOX ® Cosmetic are

discussed in great detail during consultation.

Any Contraindications for use?

BOTOX ® cosmetic are contraindicated in the

presence of infection at the proposed injection site(s) and in individuals with known

hypersensitivity to any botulinum toxin product or to any of the components in the

formulation.

How often can you get Botox?

 

The traditional Botox schedule calls for new injections every 3-4 months.

JUVEDERM ULTRA XC

 

What is Juvederm Ultra XC?

 

JUVEDERM® Ultra XC and JUVEDERM® Ultra Plus XC

are injectable gels, indicated for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis for correction of

moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds).

 

What does it do/how does it work?

 

It restores volume and fullness to the lines and

wrinkles, and provides long lasting results.

Any adverse reactions/affects?

 

Some most commonly reported side effects for

JUVEDERM® injectable gels were injection-site redness, swelling, tenderness, and

itching. Adverse reactions are discussed in great detail during consultation.

Any Contraindications for use?

 

These products should not be used in patients who

have severe allergies, marked by a history of anaphylaxis or history or presence of

multiple severe allergies.

How often can you get Juvederm?

 

Juvederm touch-up treatments usually average

around every six to 12 months.

 

Chemical Peels:

chemical peel is a cosmetic treatment that uses a special solution to
